When brought to a band for the first time or when brought back to its own band after an absence of more than a few weeks, the baby is welcomed by all the band members, in turn, who touch him on the upper lip and say “Halisima [or whatever the baby’s name is], I am the woman !xai!xai. Remain happily with us.”
