The most important ritual of the enthronement ceremony is when the future Gonja king touches the earth of the spot called ginginso three times with his buttocks. This is the moment when he becomes king in the same way as the Akan king who has to touch the blackened stool of his predecessor, or that of the first king of his dynasty, three times with his buttocks, so that his divine kingly kra, the divine life-giving power, a compound of all the kras of his Royal Ancestors, enters his body.
